Think Thin to Lose Weight

Think thin. Adopt the habits of lean and healthy people, and you'll soon be lean and healthy too. Eat breakfast, move around, and eat more foods with a high fiber or water content.

Eat breakfast, because if you don't you are likely to wind up hungrier later in the day. Lean and healthy people eat breakfast. They choose nutritious foods and don't fill up on empty, sweet calories. When you eat a hearty, lean breakfast such as a cooked, whole grain cereal, you're telling your body that it has plenty of food. Thin people know that skipping breakfast is a good way to throw off your body's metabolic balance. They eat breakfast, and so should you.

Get up and move around. Don't think of it as exercise. Just get your blood flowing and use your body. Even if you're on a deadline at work, take three minutes to stretch every hour. If you drive to work every day, make it a habit to park far away from the front door. Even the small effort that you exert walking from your parking spot to the office will benefit you. Thin, fit people don't always take the closest parking spot. Observe the people who get out of their cars at the curb. They aren't usually fit. .

People who don't have weight issues tend to eat a lot of foods with a high bulk or water content. Add fresh vegetables and fruits, whole grain cereals, and foods like soups and salad to your meals. Chop up a ripe, organic pear into your oatmeal in the morning. Eat a banana instead of reaching for a handful of candy. Thin people often seem to have an ability to appreciate simple, whole foods. They don't often choose rich foods prepared with lots of creamy sauces. Allow yourself the luxury of tasting each bite and chew your food many times before swallowing it.

Choosing whole foods, taking time to stretch and move around more, and starting off your day with a wholesome breakfast is a great way to think, act and become lean and healthy.
